March 15, 2020
Mayor Marty Walsh declares “The coronavirus is one of the greatest public health challenges our city has ever faced.” Non-essential businesses, churches, museums, restaurants, schools, sporting events, and theaters and museums, and restaurants are closed. People are advised to stay in their homes unless absolutely necessary and stay six feet apart from others if they must go out. Mayor Walsh calls for a curfew and asks all residents to wear non-medical-grade face masks on April 5, 2020.
